Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Current South Carolina SLP license issued by the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) may be considered
-
South Carolina Department of Education certification may be required depending on district policy
-
Previous school-based experience preferred

Ability to pass a state and federal background check

Compliance with health and immunization requirements, including TB testing
Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
-
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams
-
Provide direct therapy services to students, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs
-
Maintain detailed and compliant documentation for services provided
-
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
-
Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
